To contribute towards poverty and vulnerability reduction of poor, marginalized and disadvantaged communities by mobilizing local and international resources in emergency and sustainable community development programs targeted at innovative and market based agriculture, livelihood and food security; environment, disaster risk reduction and climate change; education, arts and culture; water, sanitation, public health and hygiene; human rights, peace building and local governance and emergency and humanitarian response
To undertake research and advocacy making use of lessons and proven IEC materials for economic, legal and social reforms targeted to create open societies and development of national and local policies required for democratic governance and human rights
To act as a resource agency capable of delivering trainings and workshops, research and advocacy in areas of sustainable livelihood and food security, environmental Pollution reduction and its sustainability, disaster risk reduction, climate change and emergency planning, water and sanitation, human rights and peace building, community need assessment and fund raising.

Educate, motivate and empower the poor, marginalized and disadvantaged communities; sensitize stakeholders and facilitate government level people oriented policy making process; and facilitate self-reliance and enable local governance employing right based, people centered, grassroots, inclusive and participatory approaches in diversified community development programs, issue based research and skill based trainings.
Strengthen organizations, advocacy and awareness of poor, marginalized and disadvantaged communities and equip them with adequate skills to ensure balanced and sustainable socio-economic development.
